Schwerzmann & Wise, P.C. was founded in 1985 through the partnership of attorneys Anderson Wise (1938-2015) and Richard F. Schwerzmann (1918-2000). The firm is located one block east of City Hall and the Dulles State Office Building on Sterling Street in Watertown, NY. Schwerzmann & Wise, P.C. serves individual and business clients throughout the North Country, including the counties of Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence.

After the retirements of Keith B. Caughlin and Steven C. Haas in 2025, Catherine Burns Quencer remains as the sole practicing attorney in the firm. She is well-known in the community and sought out for her experience, success, pride in representation, and the care and attention given to her clients.

Despite the passing of Richard F Schwerzmann in 2000 and Anderson Wise in 2015, the firm remains an ever strong presence with a commitment to clients and the community.
